Today Apple launched iPhone 4S on AT&T and Sprint in US and on some other carriers in six other countries including Canada, Australia, the UK, France, Germany, and Japan. According to reports, the first day of launching of iPhone 4S brought happiness to many faces. And for companies, it also broke sales records of several earlier years.
According to Sprint, the launching of iPhone 4S on the carrier has broke company’s one day sales record. Though they didn’t get in much details, still the company announced that the device broke their one-day sales record today on 1pm Eastern Time.
After Sprint, AT&T has also announced that the launching of iPhone 4S has doubled the company’s activation record in just one day. According to a representative from AT&T:
As of 4:30 pm ET today, AT&T had already activated a record number of iPhones on our network – and is on-track to double our previous record for activations on a single day. These record volumes may produce slower activations for some customers, though our systems continue to run at record levels.
On the other hand, when these two big-bang news came in the market, Apple’s Stock prices reached very close to their highest point. Today Apple’s Stock (AAPL) closed at $422.00. However, it wasn’t the highest point ever because company’s stocked was closed at $422.86 at its highest point. It was reached during intraday trading three weeks ago on September 20. But still, today company’s stock got very close to that point.
