Well, it seems like Motorola Atrix successor Motorola Atrix 2 has made its way towards the streets of Chicago prior to being officially unveiled by AT&T. Some guys at The Verge recently passed some hands-on time with the device and cleared many rumors about the device.
First of all, the new Motorola Atrix 2, also known as Edison, will indeed have a qHD display, although unlike Moto’s other 960 x 540 screens, this one discards the PenTile matrix and features properly proportioned sub-pixels, which delivers crisper text in the process.
The handset will not be a member of AT&T’s LTE lineup. So it means that it will be limited to its HSPA+ network. There will be a shutter button on the right hand side of the handset, although like the Photon, it’s only a single-stage mechanism, which is quite a bummer.
Just like the Droid Bionic, Motorola Atrix 2 also features a dual-core 1GHz TI OMAP CPU and delivers fantastic benchmarks in the process.
