Jawbone Announced Icon HD Headset Especially Designed for PC-based VoIP calls

It has been a longer time when we last heard about any headset from Jawbone. But recently Jawbone just announced its Icon HD headset whose wideband speaker is 25 percent larger than the original Icon’s. The new Icon HD also lets you pause and play songs and podcasts by pressing a button on the headset.

Jawbone Icon HD Headset with Nerd

But the real story here is not the Icon HD headset. Yups, its actually Nerd; a questionably named add-on that plugs into your computer’s USB port, allowing the headset to field VoIP calls from PCs and Macs, in addition to ones coming through to your cellphone. It seems pretty amazing…isn’t it?

The Nerd is a plug-n-play devicThe story doesn’t end here. According to Jawbone, using both devices you can simultaneously connect with any two devices (laptop, phone, tablet) and seamlessly switch between audio (music, video, games, & more) and calls (mobile & VoIP).e and doesn’t require any type of software installation. This amazing pair will be available as a bundle at a price of $139 and will hit brick-and-mortar stores soon.

The headset is packed with NoiseAssassin® 2.5 technology. Here I want to clear that NoiseAssassin® 2.5 technology is a Jawboneʼs legacy of unparalleled noise-cancelling expertise.

On the other hand, Jawbone’s Companion for Android app, which displays the battery life of headset among other vitals, is also out of the testing phase and ready for general consumption.
