The china based company Huawei is now expanding its footprints towards U.S. Market with its brand new phone Huawei Ascend. The Huawei Ascend is now available at Cricket Wireless and Metro PCs. The new Huawei Ascend is a Android 2.1 phone. For more visual flair, MetroPCS is also carrying the Tapout version of the new Huawei Ascend.

Its a cool starter smartphone package. This attractive handset has a 3.5-inch HVGA touch screen and a fantastic looking body. Lets take a look at its features in detail:

Design:

Basically the new Huawei Ascend is a 4.5 inches tall by 2.4 inches wide by 0.55 inch deep smartphone. It weighs around 4.7 ounces and is very comfortable against your ears.

Display & Sound:

The 3.5 inch HGVA display has a 480×320-pixel resolution and supports 262,000 colors.  While it’s plenty bright in power save mode, you can still adjust the Ascend’s display if you prefer a more radiant screen. Its virtual keyboard has large buttons that are easy to press and I didn’t heard any complaint about it. The New Huawei Ascend has a 2.5 mm headset jack and the sound quality is also very nice.

Connectivity and Memory:

Huawei Ascend generally has all  wireless features of a Smartphone such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G, and GPS. You can merge contact information from various accounts, such as Gmail and Outlook, although (as with every Android phone). The device has microSD card slot into the right and left spines.

Additional Features:
There are many more features in this smartphone like Camera button, volume rocker, power button, 3.2 Mega Pixel Camera, voice dialing, speakerphone, threaded text and multimedia messaging.

All of these amazing features packed with Huawei Ascend make it a perfect smartphone for any user. And all of this is just for $100. So finally we can say that this is a budget smartphone.
