Well, not so longer ago when Logitech and Microsoft launched their wide range of HD Webcams, Skype refused to certify them for their Video Calling Service. The reason was not that these Webcams could not support Skype’s Video Calling Service; but the reason was that Skype won’t guarantee that they’ll work well.

So now the question comes why Skype made this hard and fast rule? Because Skype will only certify webcams that come with onboard video processing and keep the CPU chilled. This quality of webcams doesn’t affect the processing speed of the computer and keeps your computer running smoothly.

So finally Creative has done something that meets to the choices of Skype. Creative has introduced its Creative Live! HD Webcam that supports Onboard Video Processing. The webcam also has more flexible autofocus and a “quad mic” system, which together should allow users to sit as far as 10 feet away and still be seen and heard clearly. And all of this became possible by doing a H 2.64 encoding on the Creative Live! Webcam. Its really amazing, isn’t it?

Not just that…the new Creative Live! HD Webcam comes with Live! Central 3 software suite with advanced video and audio effects, avatar creation, movie creation, desktop sharing features and surveillance capabilities.

But there’s still a problem. Do you know what? Its $150 price tag. The price is significantly more than the competition. But if you’re comfortable with the price, the I think its a best option for Webcams.
