Recently Acer’s David Lee hijacked Intel’s netbooks and tablets Computex keynote to reveal a brand new 10-inch tablet: the Acer Iconia M500. It runs MeeGo atop and Atom Processor. Appearance and dimensions are very striking as it has a look very similar to the A500; another android platform tablet from the company.

The screen resolution is of 1280 x 800. The MeeGo interface is a custom Acer skin offering what was described as a “snackable UI.” The brief demo I saw featured a set of live widgets organized around an “Acer circle.” The device is running a skinned up version of the OS with live widgets of the most used applications running on the home screen.

There’s a rear mounted 5 MP Camera with flash and it seems like it has a front facing camera too. Acer also didn’t said anything about the pricing strategy of this device. So we can say that the further details will be available when the launch date will come near. So lets wait and watch when this MeeGo Tablet comes into the market.
