These days HP is thinking to work on a device that you’d always have with you and which would serve you as a central point; which can communicate with all your gadgets and devices. Who can do this job as well as a wrist watch?
So Recently, HP previewed a gadget concept named ‘Metal Watch’. It was a wrist watch which served like a communication hub. Yes, a watch which can communicate with all your gadgets and devices. The outward appearance of the watch is like a standard, stunning watch with analog hands.
HP’s CTO Phil McKinney said in Shanghai, where he showed off the watch to a crowd that this watch will work on a “full software stack” and will communicate with other devices and gadgets.
As McKinney said about a “full software stack” so does it mean a proper OS install in the watch? Well, it seems like a hardest job. Or, is there something like a network stack on the top of an embedded OS?
We can guess that there may be an LCD panel in front of the watch, but till now we have no evidence which can support this guess.
So finally we can say that the “Metal Watch” concept is a bit-high concept. Even HP doesn’t know that what the users are going to do with the watch. We are keeping our eye on this concept to know the actual capabilities of this concept.
