Today I got a chance to take a look at how Nexus S 4G and Google Voice Integration are combined to provide a better voice experience to its users. By the way, both these promise that they will change the way of using the web and making calls. So now the question comes- what special they’ve that they will change the way of using the web and making calls??
So here comes the answer: If we take a look at Nexus S 4G, then we find that it is mostly what you would expect from it. Yup, its a Nexus S with WIMAX for Sprint.
I noticed that there was a decent improvement in the browsing and downloading speed of the device. Its 1 GHz Hummingbird chip makes it a much higher-performance phone like Evo 3D. And I think that this higher-performance device was also higher in loading pages.
You’re guaranteed that you’ll get OS updates faster then the Sprint’s own Epic 4G. You will also get a secondary camera (front camera) and a NFC Wireless. Bootware is also unlocked here; so you’ll be able to use custom firmware without bypassing firmware locks.
Though Google Voice is also not tied to Nexus S 4G, still it is its companion in many ways (e.g. : when you expect that you can pick either your Google Voice or your Sprint Number to be the one attached to your phone).
The feature which I most liked in the device was its capability of integration with Google Voice. You’ll never need to apologize for calling from a different number because your Google Voice account will be available with your phone also.
We can just request to mobile carriers and manufacturers to keep presenting these types of useful integrations and services which make our life easy. We can hope that this device will do a good business in the market.
