So finally, Apple is going to launch its next generation iPad, Apple iPad 2. It is a smarter version of the original iPad which was released last April. This new slate of Apple will be released on March 11.

So is the iPad 2 really a new generation of iPads? Is it a better option than the original iPad? Lets take a look at the comparison of Apple’s iPad 2 and Apple iPad-

According to a report, Apple’s iPad 2 will arrive with a 1.2 GHz A5 dual-core processor, a front facing camera (there may be a rear facing camera also). It will support both GSM and CDMA networks. Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs told that A5 processor will will be 2 times faster than the A4 processor, which was unveiled in the previous version of iPad. The graphics display also will be 9 times faster than the previous version.

It will also be lighter than the previous one. It will weigh around 1.3 pounds and will measure 0.35 inches thick. The original iPad was 1.5 pounds in weight and 0.5 inches thick.

Apple’s iPad 2 will also cover some new features which were not available in the original iPad including a gyroscope, battery life of 10 hours and two vibrant colors (black and white).

The new iPad 2 will be available in six models. Three Wi-Fi Models and three 3G models. The Wi-Fi models will include-

1. 16 GB flash storage version – $499
2. 32 GB flash storage version – $599
3. 64 GB flash storage version – $699

On the other hand, The 3G models will be-
1. 16 GB flash storage version – $629
2. 32 GB flash storage version – $729
3. 64 GB flash storage version – $829

So finally we can say that the iPad 2 is lighter and more advanced than the previous one. And what you are going to buy, that mainly depends on your requirements.
