Recently Intel has launched its New Thunderbolt Technology which is booming in the market just after its arrival. It was also known as Light Peak. I also took a look at its features because I was also curious to know that what it is all about. So today I am going to share with you that what I found while searching about it.
Well, let me tell you about its best feature first. According to Intel, Thunderbolt is a data connection which is able to give you a speed of 10GB/s which makes it the fastest data connection ever. It means that it is able to transfer Full HD Videos of 300 GB in 30 seconds.
Intel also says that it is compatible with existing DisplayPort devices and it also uses the PCI Express protocol for enhanced compatibility and it is also dual-channel, which means that you’ll get 10GB/s speed both to and from your devices.
As a result of the above features; Apple has quickly picked it up in its new MacBook Pro models. Apple is saying that Thunderbolt technology will be widely adopted as a new standard for high performance I/O.
So at last we can say that it is a data connection which can make a new definition of I/O. Let’s see what it does in today’s market.
